Dark Web Cocaine Purchase Leads to Arrest of Brick Township Father and Son
A father and son face drug distribution charges after law enforcement intercepted a dark web cocaine purchase and conducted a controlled delivery that uncovered drugs, firearms, and cash at their Brick Township home.
The Investigation and Controlled Delivery
On June 16, 2026, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Strike Force obtained a package intercepted by United States Postal Service Postal Inspectors containing approximately 15 grams of cocaine. Investigation revealed the cocaine had been purchased via the dark web using cryptocurrency and was addressed to Ryan Weil at his Brick Township residence.
Detectives obtained a court-authorized search warrant and, working undercover, delivered the package to Weil's residence. After observing Ryan Weil retrieve and bring the package inside, authorities immediately executed the search warrant. Both men were taken into custody at the residence without incident.

The search uncovered:
- Approximately 20 pounds of marijuana
- Heroin, methamphetamine, Xanax, MDMA, oxycodone, ketamine, and LSD
- Three shotguns, one rifle, and two handguns
- Approximately $34,000 in U.S. currency
- Drug paraphernalia associated with distribution
Charges and Court Decisions
Ryan Weil was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, heroin/fentanyl, marijuana, Xanax, oxycodone, MDMA, and LSD, along with possession of a firearm during a controlled dangerous substance offense, five counts of being a certain person not to possess a firearm, conspiracy to possess cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and financial facilitation. Judge Wendel E. Daniels ordered Ryan Weil detained pending trial on June 25, 2026.
Kenneth Weil faced similar charges including possession with intent to distribute cocaine, heroin/fentanyl, marijuana, Xanax, oxycodone, MDMA, and LSD, firearm possession during a drug offense, conspiracy to possess cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and financial facilitation. He was released from Ocean County Jail as a consequence of New Jersey Bail Reform.
