Oldenburg Police Crack Down on Internet Drug Traffickers
A major operation leads to the arrest of suspects involved in large-scale online narcotics sales.

Oldenburg/Koblenz - Cybercrime investigators from the Central Criminal Investigation Department (ZKI) of Oldenburg have made a significant breakthrough in a case involving a group of individuals accused of selling narcotics and prescription medications on the internet and darknet.
Investigation Details
The investigation, which began in March 2023, led to the identification of 11 suspects, aged between 23 and 36, who allegedly operated primarily from Berlin. The suspects are accused of selling controlled substances, including narcotics, prescription medications, psychoactive substances, and cannabis products online, generating sales worth millions of euros, mainly in cryptocurrencies. The goods were allegedly shipped through the postal service.
Charges and Evidence
The suspects are accused of selling large quantities of controlled substances online, including:
- Narcotics: amphetamine, cocaine, ecstasy, and LSD
- Prescription medications
- Psychoactive substances
- Cannabis products
Arrests and Seizures
In January, enough evidence was gathered to execute four arrest warrants, and 31 properties in Berlin, Hesse, Saxony-Anhalt, and Poland were searched, involving 300 law enforcement officers. During the searches, police seized:
- Narcotics such as amphetamine, cocaine, ecstasy, and LSD
- Prescription medications
- Firearms
- Documents
- Data storage devices
- Communication equipment
Additionally, assets worth over €85,000, including over €60,000 in cash and a car, were confiscated.
Ongoing Investigation
The investigation, including the forensic analysis of seized narcotics and the evaluation of data storage devices, will take some time to complete. The ZKI Oldenburg worked together with investigators from the Federal Criminal Office and cybercrime units from Moldova and Poland on this case.
